Betsy Rosenfield Samet

Betsy Rosenfield SametBetsy Rosenfield Samet, of New York City, N.Y., joined the board in 2008.

She is a consultant to business and social entrepreneurs working with them to transform their visions from concept to full-fledged organization or business. Recently, Ms. Samet was vice president for business development with the Business Alliance for Vietnamese Education, where she was responsible for corporate fundraising and production of multi-media products, which teach English to millions of people in Vietnam and Indonesia.

Previously, Samet was vice president for business development for ScienCentral, Inc. At ABC News, she developed programming, turned around and managed ancillary businesses, and served as production executive for Nightline, Primetime Live, World News Tonight, and ABC News Productions.

Ms. Samet received a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in political science and communications from Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind., and an associate in arts degree, cum laude, from Cazenovia College, where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society.
