Bradford G. Wheler, P.E., of Cazenovia, N.Y., joined the board in 2004.

Wheler is a licensed professional engineer in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Florida and is the former owner, president and chief executive officer of Allan Electric Company in New Jersey. Wheler sold the company to United Illuminating Company in 1999 and resigned as president and chief executive officer in 2001. His career has included positions as vice president and president of an electrical and mechanical contracting company; regional vice president for an environmental construction company and a consulting engineer.
Wheler is director of Galvin Gourmet Mushroom Farm and the Epsilon Association, Inc. of Sigma Phi, Cornell University. He is a past director of New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company; past trustee of IBEW Local 102 Pension and Annuity Plans; and New Jersey Business and Industry Association. He is past president and director of New York State Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors; past national director of Associated Builders and Contractors; and past chairman of the National Training Trust; and the Mechanical Trades Council for Associated Builders and Contractors.
He received a bachelor of science degree and a master’s degree in engineering from the College of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University, a master of business administration from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business Administration.
Wheler is a member of Cazenovia College’s 1824 Society, the Cazenovia Club, Saratoga Polo Club, the Cornell Club of New York, N.Y., Cazenovia Golf Club, and the Onondaga Golf and Country Club. In addition to golf, his leisure time activities include travel, reading and polo.
