Grace Chiang previously served as a member of the Board of Trustees from 2003-2012 and rejoined the board in July of 2013.
Chiang is a founding principal of Chiang O’Brien Architects, D.P.C. in Ithaca, New York. She has a broad range of experience in campus planning, facilities programming and award-winning building design for both new construction and renovations of academic buildings, campus life buildings, health care facilities, libraries and a diverse range of community projects for other not-for-profit organizations, including the design of Cazenovia College’s Art and Design building, Reisman Hall.
Chiang is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Society for College and University Planning, and certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. She has been a guest lecturer at a number of academic institutions including her alma mater and juror for design award programs in Central New York and Vermont. She has won numerous honors and awards for her work.
She is currently also serving on the boards of the Tompkins County Industrial Development Agency, the Tompkins County Development Corporation and the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce.
She received a bachelor of architecture degree from Cornell University.
