Steve Hopkins has over 30 years experience performing law enforcement and security operations in Central New York and retired from the Syracuse Police Department in 2004. During his police career he served as a patrol officer, detective, death scene investigator, crime scene evidence technician, abused persons investigator, police academy instructor, and as a member of the police emergency response team (SWAT). He received numerous departmental awards and commendations for actions performed in the line of duty. He also served two years in the United States Army, Military Police 1974-1976.
