Happy Thanksgiving!

November 28, 2013 - 8:51am -- jlsloan
As the British do not celebrate Thanksgiving, we are all in classes today, but wanted to take a moment to wish everyone back at Caz a very Happy Thanksgiving.  The International Office here at CCCU is putting on a Thanksgiving dinner for us tonight which has involved the efforts of a lot of students who have planned the menu and decorations and solicited recipes from family back home for classic holiday dishes.  Pics from the celebration to follow in a later post.

In the meantime, Renee Johnson's thoughts on the holiday away from home sum things up pretty well.

Merry Old England

While the students have been enjoying traveling in Europe and writing about their adventures there, our home away from home, Canterbury, and the rest of England have offered a lot of great experiences too.

Holidays Abroad

The students wanted to share some stories and observations on the holidays they have experienced here in England and while traveling in Europe.

One of the best things about living in Europe...

One of the best things about living in Europe is the chance to visit other countries without having to pay an arm and a leg.  You can travel from London, England to Paris, France within an hour.

That was one of the main reasons I applied for Caz's study abroad program.  Not only would I be able to study in England, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but I could visit other countries!  And I'll have proof by the stamps in my navy blue U.S. passport.
