What is Blackboard Learning?

Blackboard is Cazenovia College's course management system and is a web-based course management system that allows faculty to add resources to their course for students to access online or to participate in an online classes.

We have upgraded to Blackboard Learning System version 8 with a new installation of the program. What does this mean to faculty and students? All passwords have been reset to the default password. If you need assistance signing in, please call the Support Desk at 315.655.7777.

Faculty: Getting Started

Faculty who are interested in using Blackboard as part of their class need to request a course each semester. To request a course, please complete the course request form at: Blackboard Course Request; you may be required to login.

Forgot your Password?

  1. Click the Forgot Password? link on the Blackboard login screen; follow instructions to change it.
  2. Ask your instructor if they can change it for you.
  3. Send an email to support (please add @cazenovia.edu) or call our ICT Support Desk at 315.655.7777 to request to have your password changed.
