Third Party Plug-ins
Some content within courses may require the installation of third party plug-ins such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe Flash, Windows Media Player, Real player or Quick Time. In each case there should be a notification and link informing you that you need to install a new plug-in. Be careful that you only install trusted plug-ins that are necessary for the course content. Malicious plug-ins can be dangerous to your computer.

Attention AOL Users

Blackboard does not support AOL browser, to access Blackboard you must use an alternate browser, follow the steps below:

  1. Connect to AOL as you normally would.
  2. Minimize the AOL browser window.
  3. Open a supported browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.
  4. Connect to Blackboard at


  • Internet Explorer 5 and 6 are no longer supported.
  • Firefox 1.x, 2.0 and 3.0 are no longer supported.
  • Safari 2.0 is no longer supported.
