Head Coach: Peter Way

On Fri., Feb 17, 2005, Pete Way, a 2003 graduate of Cazenovia College, was named the program’s head baseball coach.  Way had previously served as an assistant coach for both Cazenovia and the Mohawk Valley Cobras of the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL) in Utica, N.Y.
 
During his tenure as an assistant coach at Cazenovia, the Wildcats were 2004 conference champions in both the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) and the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC). His 2004 team set the school record for wins, and finished the season ranked among the top 15 NCAA Division III schools in batting average and runs-per-game.
 
Way started his collegiate career at Herkimer Community College, a member of National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), and transferred to Cazenovia after two years. As a player, Way played an integral role as a member of the Wildcats 2002 NEAC Championship team.
 
Way replaced his former coach, Pete Liddell, who was named the athletics director at Cayuga Community College.
 
Way, who graduated from Cazenovia with a bachelor’s degree in sport management is currently employed with Cazenovia and works for the school's development office.

Assistant Coach: Chris Comino
 

Picked up as an assistant coach in 2005, Chris ‘Big Country’ Comino has been a hallmark of the Cazenovia baseball program ever since.  Comino takes on many roles with the team and manages the squad from the bench.

 

Comino also serves as the Director of the Cazenovia Intramural Program and the Wildcats’ assistant basketball coach.


Assistant Coach: Todd daCunha
 
Todd daCunha returns to Cazenovia College to join the baseball team’s coaching staff.  Graduating from Cazenovia in 2005 with a degree in sports management, daCunha recently received his masters in the field of management of sports industries from the University of New Haven (Conn.).

 

DaCunha was named one of the top fifteen players in Class S during his senior season at East Windsor High School in East Windsor, Conn.  A four-year starter at Cazenovia, daCunha, for his outstanding play in the outfield, was named to the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) All-Conference team four times and City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) All-Conference team twice.

 

DaCunha finished his four years at Cazenovia among the all-time career leaders with 120 games started.  Recording a lifetime mark of .369, DaCunha also ranks among the all-time career leaders in batting average at Cazenovia.
