Presented by Stewart Weisman, associate professor, Criminal Justice & Homeland Security Studies
Dr. Frankl was the founder of logotherapy—a form of psychotherapy. His best-selling book Man's Search for Meaning is a first person account of his experiences in a concentration camp during WWII. It was during this time that he perfected and applied his theories of psychotherapy. Indeed, his psychotherapy, based on applied existentialism, is credited with saving fellow inmates from suicide.
Stewart L. Weisman is chair of the Division of Social & Behavioral Sciences, and associate professor of Criminal Justice & Homeland Security Studies at Cazenovia College. As an academician, Weisman is interested in crime causation, and lectures frequently at continuing legal education seminars.
