Cazenovia College recently received word of its reaccreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), thereby successfully completing a more than two-year self-study/peer evaluation review.
Beginning in spring 2011, the College community engaged in a process of self-study in anticipation of the MSCHE decennial accreditation visit. As part of that process, the Self Study Steering Committee, together with Workgroups and their constituents, contributed valuable time and effort to compiling a comprehensive Self Study Report.
A peer Evaluation Team visited campus March 24-27, 2013, to assess "how well the institution's educational goals and objectives are realized in actual practice" (MSCHE, 2009). The Team's review confirmed Cazenovia College's own findings and included a number of commendations, all of which will be used by the College in the creation of its strategic plan for
President Mark Tierno shared, "This process of review is increasingly important in the current time of economic recovery and national dialogue about the quality and value of higher education."
