Matthew Reilly, superintendent of schools, Cazenovia Central School District, in Cazenovia, N.Y., has over 30 years of experience in public education. Reilly taught secondary social studies in several Central New York school districts for 20 years and has spent the last 11 years as a school administrator at both the middle school level and the district level.
As the superintendent of schools, Reilly is responsible for all aspects of district level leadership including: curriculum and instruction, finance, facilities, transportation, and athletics. Reilly has extensive experience in the area of strategic plan development and implementation. A member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) and New York State Council of School Superintendents (NYSCOSS), Reilly has presented on various topics on a state-wide level.
Reilly received his Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Arts in Teaching degrees from Colgate University. He earned his Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from Syracuse University.
