Tree Campus USA - 10 Years
Cazenovia College has been recognized as a Tree Campus USA® by the National Arbor Day Foundation since 2008. This recognition is given to colleges and universities that make a commitment to be stewards for campus trees and to the surrounding community. Colleges and universities are recognized as a Tree Campus USA® by meeting the five standards established by the National Arbor Day Foundation. These standards include maintaining a campus tree advisory committee, a care plan and inventory, a tree program with dedicated annual expenditures, as well as holding an annual Arbor Day observance and establishing an annual service-learning project.

In 2018, Cazenovia College celebrated its tenth year as a Tree Campus USA®. In recognition Andréa Nieves, environmental education assistant for the Division of Lands & Forests, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), presented Cazenovia College with an honorary “10 Years” flag. The flag was accepted by three students from Cazenovia’s environmental biology and biology programs.
