Substance Use Disorder Counselor Certification (CASAC-T)
The Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee (CASAC-T) is the first step in becoming a professional in the addiction recovery field. Cazenovia College provides the 350 hours of education and training to receive your Substance Use Disorder Certificate to become eligible to be a CASAC-T through New York State. This program is comprised of 9 Cazenovia College courses for which you will earn college academic credit.

Human Services Associate’s Degree Programs
Cazenovia College offers four (4) associate's degree programs in Human Services: an Associate in Arts degree in either Counseling and Mental Health or Social Services for Children and Youth, and an Associate in Science degree in those same subject areas.

Human Services Online Bachelor of Science Degree Program
Cazenovia now offers the B.S. in Human Services Generalist degree as a fully online program through our Center for Adult and Continuing Education on a part-time basis. Ideal for transfer students looking to complete their degree online, students can take up to 3 classes per semester. Classes are offered at convenient afternoon and evening times, allowing students to work during the day. Part-time study makes the program very affordable and financial aid is available.

Human Services Bachelor of Science Degree Full-Time Programs
As a student in our full-time program, you will take courses on the Cazenovia College campus. You will have access to many opportunities for assisting children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings such as alcohol and substance abuse, mental health services, foster care, social services, disabilities, elder and health care.
To reflect the diverse nature of the field of human services, our program offers a choice of four concentrations so you can design your academic experience to fit your career goals:

Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s Program
The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Cazenovia College is committed to preparing students to become informed and ethical practitioners, well equipped with tools for mental health counseling in individual, family and group settings. Courses include those related to human growth and development, counseling theories, group dynamics, cultural foundations, assessment and appraisal, couples and families, substance abuse, clinical instruction, and internships. The program is structured to allow students to complete 60 credit hours of course work within two years.
