The dual major program is designed to give students all the benefits of the Psychology program and the Criminal Justice and Homeland Security program in the same number of credits required to complete a single major. Students choose the dual major program for a variety of reasons. Some students are drawn to the enhanced academic experience, others appreciate the flexibility of career and graduate program options resulting from two majors.
Many of our students are interested in learning about criminal behaviors, careers in law enforcement, as well as preparation for careers and graduate study in forensic psychology or forensic mental health counseling. We provide dual majors with the background to be successful after graduation, in addition, students receive faculty mentorship to navigate the wide range of options available to them.
