The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design prepares students for success in the fashion industry by developing technical and creative skills needed for students to cultivate fashion concepts, create patterns and construct garments, use current construction and digital technology to present their own fashion lines.
Program emphasis is on technical design and product development with special focus on ready-to-wear fashions under a broad curriculum in a supportive classroom and studio environment that allows students to cultivate individual design concepts for a variety of fashion markets through studio and lecture classes with individual and team-based projects and experiential career-based opportunities including off-campus semesters and required internships. A minor in Fashion Design is available.
