Where did you go to college:  Cazenovia College (Graduated May '17)

What did you study: Studio Art Major, Art History Minor

What were you involved in: Campus Keys (tour guide), musical productions, smART (Student Made Art—student-run business), Health Care Club, All-College Honors Program, Kappa Pi Art Honors Fraternity… and so much more!

How long have you been at Caz: I was a student for four years, and I've been a counselor since September 2017.

What do you like about working in Admissions: I love the interaction with new students. Their college experience is SO important to the development of the path they'll be on for their futures. To be able to help someone find the school that offers a high caliber program in the field that they want to be involved in, as well as a place that will become their second home, is extremely rewarding.

What advice would you give a student who is interested in Caz: Before I went to college, my parents told me one thing, and I always tell incoming students the same; you are going to have to work for the majority of your life, no matter what you do, so you might as well do what you love.

What do you like best about Caz: The relationships and sense of community. The relationships that you build here will give you a second family, incredible networking opportunities in developing your professional career, and people to return to who are always rooting for you.

What is your favorite spot on campus: My favorite spot on campus has got to be the Quad, or the benches around the Quad. There's just so much life there! Whether you're off to the side, doing homework, reading a book or playing music, or running around in the center of everything, playing frisbee, sitting with your friends on a picnic bench or basking in the sun, there is life and community and togetherness. That's what life is all about.

What is your favorite hobby: Does eating count as a hobby…? If not, then baking probably! I wanted to own a bakery before I decided that art was my passion and not just a hobby, and I still love to bake. The physical act of making something beautiful from scratch, as well as the act of sharing the joy of treats with others.
