Every year, a few months before the Cazenovia Annual Fashion Show, two garment juries are held. The goal of these juries is to choose which underclassmen garments will be shown in the fashion show. The first jury of the year was held on February 25. The second one is being held on March 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

At the first jury, underclassmen designers present clothes that they made in the spring semester of the previous year and the fall semester of this year. The second jury, students will present clothes made in the spring semester of this year.

The jury is judged by four professional designers who are alumni of the college or local experts in the area. These jurors look at specific criteria to decide if the garment will be accepted or not. This criterion includes the student's presentation and construction of the garment. Both are based on a scale of 1-5.

The model merchandising team and a group of volunteers make sure that the jury runs smoothly. The day of the jury the team will get there an hour before to set up and will stay let to tear down. The garment jury is one of the most import parts of planning that goes into the fashion show.
