In the Fall of 2019, Cazenovia College started its first of hopefully many Graduate Programs. The program is a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

The Graduate Program at Cazenovia College hosted a virtual continuing education conference and allow our students and their practicum/internship site supervisors the opportunity to stay up to date on the latest techniques. Continuing education is a very important part of being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the field of counseling and it’s imperative that we show the students in the program at Cazenovia College the importance of staying up to date.

The conference was a 2-day trauma conference that was invitation only on The Body Keeps the Score: Trauma Healing with Bessel van der Kolk, MD. The conference took place virtually on April 6-7, 2020. Amongst many other things, Dr. van der Kolk talked about neuroscience & brain development; early life trauma; attachment, trauma, and psychopathology; neuroscience, trauma, memory and the body; the diagnosis and treatment of trauma related disorders; and the latest research on trauma-specific treatment interventions
