Cazenovia College has an immediate opening for a Lead Cook.This is a full time year round position with benefits. Responsibilities include: preparing hot and cold food in a high volume board plan setting.  Candidate will also produce similar items for catering events. Candidate assures proper supplies for all stations, prepares menus, orders food and prepares special dietary items for students.
 
Responsibilities
Candidate must have experience with a mixer, grill, fryer, slicer and oven, as well as other equipment in a production kitchen.  They must be skilled in the production of sauces and soups.  Candidate should have experience in all production areas of a commercial kitchen and be able to handle volume cooking.  Candidate must be able to work with others as well as independently.  Candidate must be able to coach full time and student employees.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED with 5-7 years’ experience in a food service operation; 2-3 years of which must be in a high volume foodservice or catering operation.ServSafe certification a plus. Effective written and oral communication skills are a must. Candidates should be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special occasions as needed.
