April 5, 2021

The College Health Center has diagnosed a non-residential student as being positive for COVID-19. The student will be isolating and recovering at home. No other students are affected at this time. If anyone else is determined to have had close contact, they will receive further instructions from the tracing team.

As a reminder, all campus COVID-related notifications can be found on the College website on the Campus Notifications Spring 2021 page, which is linked from the Return to Campus Information page.

The best way to protect yourself and the campus community from COVID-19 is to get vaccinated when you become eligible. Studies have shown the vaccine to be safe and effective. If you have questions about the vaccine and its safety, please visit the NYS COVID-19 FAQ page

Starting Tuesday, April 6, anyone 16 and older can sign up for an appointment. For a list of locations offering the vaccine in the area, visit the Madison County Vaccination Distribution page.

Madison County has also set up a will-call list for anyone age 18 and over to get vaccinated when there are extra doses available from the County vaccination clinics. Students are encouraged to sign up for the waiting list using this online form.

Please continue to follow all health and safety protocols and if you have symptoms of COVID-19, you should contact our Health Center or your healthcare provider immediately. The Health Center can be reached at (315) 655-7122 or after hours through Campus Safety at (315) 655-7555.
