The College was notified that a residential student tested positive for COVID-19. They will be isolating and recovering off campus. Four students who were determined to have had close contact with the student are currently quarantining on campus. The contact tracing will be conducted by the health department in the student’s home location. If anyone is determined to have had close contact, they will receive further instructions from the tracing team.
The best way to protect yourself and the campus community from COVID-19 is to get vaccinated when you become eligible. Students can check their eligibility by going to our Vaccination Information page. Studies have shown the vaccine to be safe and effective. If you have questions about the vaccine and its safety, please visit the NYS COVID-19 FAQ page.
Madison County has also set up a will-call list for anyone ages 18 and over to get vaccinated when there are extra doses available from the County vaccination clinics. Students are encouraged to sign up for the waiting list using this online form.
Please continue to follow all health and safety protocols and if you have symptoms of COVID-19, you should contact our Health Center or your healthcare provider immediately. The Health Center can be reached at (315) 655-7122 or after hours through Campus Safety at (315) 655-7555.
