Positive COVID Pool Test Result

The College was notified this evening that one of the saliva pool tests conducted on Tuesday has come back positive for COVID-19. Follow-up testing is being done on the individual samples from the positive pool to identify the positive person(s).

As a precaution, all individuals from the pool have been contacted and placed in isolation until the follow-up results are available. In addition, practices for athletic teams that include an individual from the positive pool have been suspended until further notice, and Dining Services will move to “to go” starting with Late Night this evening.

An update will be provided as soon as results from the follow-up testing are known.

It is important that all members of the campus community continue to follow health and safety protocols with increased attention to washing hands, wearing masks, and maintaining distance/density with others. As always, if you have symptoms of COVID-19, you should remain in your residence and contact our Health Center or your healthcare provider immediately.
