On behalf of all of us at the Health and Counseling Center, we would like to send you our regards, and let you know that our thoughts are with you during these uncertain and challenging times. We would also like to offer you some options for accessing our services remotely.
Cazenovia College Counseling Office will be providing support to students through online services. We are in uncharted territories right now with what is happening. When things are unknown and unpredictable our best plan of action can be to keep up our daily routines as much as possible, to ask for support from our friends and family and seek additional support as needed.
The Counseling Office will continue to meet with any student currently enrolled at Cazenovia College through this time of transition. Services will be online either by telephone or video chats through Microsoft Teams.
To arrange a counseling session you may email Lori Mulligan at lamulligan@cazenovia.edu to request a time. Details for the type of session will be worked out through email. Intake paperwork may be requested if you are new to the counseling office. Prior to each session you will need to provide your phone number, your address and an emergency contact. If this information is not provided we are unable to hold the session. Individuals who are living outside of New York will be able to schedule a consultation session to explore supports in your current state. Guidelines for each state are different and our Counseling Center is not licensed to provide counseling in other states besides New York.
As a campus we are continuing to figure out what the next few months will look like. We are confident we can navigate together. In the event of an emergency or crisis situation please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or Text "Got5" to 741-741.
If Deb Frank has prescribed medication for you, and you are in need of a refill, please email dmfrank@cazenovia.edu. In your message, please include your date of birth, medication and dosage, pharmacy name, address, and phone number. Deb is also happy to connect with you regarding health questions or concerns. Please understand that our Health Center is not licensed to do Tele-medicine, but can certainly consult with you about questions and matters of concern. Health Center staff have been and will continue to check e-mail frequently and can also arrange a consult via MS Teams to provide guidance.
Please continue to practice social distancing, good handwashing, and self-care (rest, nutrition, relaxation, activity/exercise). Thank you for your patience and understanding as we proceed together.
