Dr. Marcoccia became a member of the Cazenovia College faculty in fall 2017 following his retirement from Syracuse University where he was employed for over forty years and retired as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
He was a member of the American Accounting Institution, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, Financial Executives Institute, Institute of Internal Auditors, and Institute of Management Accountants.
He currently serves as a Director of Lincoln Life & Annuity Company of New York.
His service on Boards included the Syracuse University Alumni Association, Inc. (Treasurer), Drumlins, Inc. (President), Syracuse University Hotel and Conference Center, LLC (President), Syracuse University Press (Treasurer), S.U. Theatre Corporation (President), St. Thomas More Foundation – Syracuse University, Syracuse Regional Board of Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., University Hill Corporation, and Upstate Medical University Foundation.
His higher education service included service on the National Association of College and University Business Officers Editorial Board, the National Association of College and University Business Officers Planning Committee for the 1984 Senior Accounting/Financial Officers Conference, the Syracuse Regional Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers Professional Development Committee, the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities Insurance Committee, and the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities Tuition Futures Committee.
He has been recognized in Who in the World, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Empire Who’s Who Among Executives and Professionals, and as a Syracuse University Varsity Club Letter Winner of Distinction.
His other activities have included being a speaker at Harvard University's Institute for Educational Management Executive Program, a member of the Eastern Association of Intercollegiate Football Officials, a WCNY Capital Campaign Team Captain, and committees service for St. Michael's Church and St. James Church.
