The late Will Eisner is considered to be a groundbreaking cartoonist whose work continues to influence contemporary popular culture. A significant figure in the birth of the comics industry, he explored the boundaries of storytelling within the traditional comic format.

The publication of his graphic novel, "A Contract With God," broke new ground through his experiments with visual content and form. Professor Allyn Stewart will discuss Eisner’s growth and development as an artist, editor and educator, as well as his influence on contemporary graphic storytelling.
