July 20, 2020 – Returning to campus - Health and safety once you are here!

July 20, 2020

Hello Cazenovia!

Please review the latest video for information on the health and safety protocols that will be expected from all of our campus community as we return to the College this August – and through fall semester. This is one more significant piece of our campus' comprehensive plan for opening this fall. This video is longer, but intended to give you a better idea of what to expect once you are on campus, and how each of us will contribute to a healthier and safer college community.

Our collective focus and attention to each and every protocol will be central to protecting all those we care about as part of our CazFamily! It is never too soon to start gathering the items you will need to be able to support and contribute positively to our community, and it is never too soon to allow yourself to imagine and visualize your interactions on the campus using these protocols. There is no doubt our physical movement and practices will change, but the more we all learn and navigate together, the more I can assure you our Caz spirit and pride will resonate and connect us!

The video offers information on our protocols with regard to masks and face coverings, density and distancing, personal cleaning and disinfecting*, and health self-screening. It also includes several of the ways that the College has determined to support everyone in our collective adherence to these protocols through pledges, safety policies, and our own COVID Assistance Response Education and Support (CARES) team.

Please carefully review what is outlined in the video and know you can always contact covid19questions@cazenovia.edu with any additional questions. Additional videos coming this week will focus on testing once you are on campus, quarantine, isolation, and what about students from restricted states. More to also come on residence and dining hall experiences, and how you can still be involved and active on campus in this new kind of fall semester. All videos and email information can also be found on the College's Fall Return 2020 website as part of the Student Affairs Helpful Information page. Review them any time, and let's get ready to get back to Caz!

Take care and please stay well!
Karey
