We are always interested in your feedback about our services, our policies, our web page, or other issues affecting the Counseling Center.
We discourage the use of e-mail to contact the Counseling Center regarding personal problems. There is a chance that your e-mail may not be opened right away, or may be overlooked or lost, and because of the nature of e-mail, we cannot guarantee the confidentiality of your correspondence. Counseling sessions are never conducted via e-mail.
We do encourage, however, your contacting us in whatever way you are comfortable if the alternative is not to contact us at all.
Cancelations and No-shows: Personal commitment to counseling is crucial for success. We encourage you to keep all appointments scheduled with your counselor. If you must miss a session due to illness or an emergency, please call the Counseling Center at 315-655-7207 to cancel the appointment as far in advance as possible.
If you "no-show" for a session without calling in advance, you must call the Counseling Center to reschedule within 48 hours or you may be placed on a waiting list for further services.
If you are a student of the College, you can make an appointment to discuss your needs with a counselor. To make an appointment you can call the Counseling Center at 315-655-7207, email the counselor at email@example.com (for non-emergency appointment only), or stop by the Center in person. You and your counselor will together decide how to proceed. You may begin a course of individual, group or couples counseling, or you may feel that your needs were met in the first session. Referrals can also be made to other mental health providers in the community.
