First launched in 2006, this highly successful alternative to Product Development is back! Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising students research, design, construct, and brand one-of-a-kind runway fashion from repurposed garments.
Students get a unique opportunity to learn about circular fashion at a time when this movement is reshaping the fashion industry. This class promotes sustainability and ethical clothing consumption and, importantly, provides students a distinct advantage as they enter the workforce.
Fashion Studies students are obtaining used garments from The Key, a local thrift shop, and giving them a new edge. All designs are sold under our label, Look Again, at our boutique located at The Key!
Look Again has been mentioned in Syracuse's first comprehensive travel guidebook, "100 Things to Do in Syracuse Before You Die." It's listed under the shopping and fashion section, "Browse the Charming Boutiques of Historic Cazenovia" on page 123. The book can be purchased locally at 20 East.
