The College will hold two commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 22, 2021. The Class of 2020 will be celebrated at the College’s 195th commencement ceremony starting at 10 a.m. The Class of 2021 will be celebrated at the 196th ceremony starting at 2:00 p.m. Both ceremonies will take place on the campus quad, will be conducted rain or shine, and will be livestreamed.
Given current New York State guidance, the College anticipates that up to two guests per graduate will be allowed to attend in person. However, the College advises families to avoid making non-refundable travel plans as the guest policy will be subject to change based on health and safety guidelines at the time of the events.
Graduate and Guest Registration Required (no exceptions)
All graduates are required to register for their respective ceremony. The Class of 2020 ceremony will include students who graduated in May 2020, August 2020 or December 2020. The Class of 2021 ceremony will include students anticipated to graduate in May 2021 or August 2021.
Graduates are also required to register their guests. An email address and mailing address are required for each guest, per the state’s contact tracing guidance.
Graduates will receive an email sent to their Cazenovia.edu email address with the link to complete the registration form for themselves and their guests. Only one form submittal per graduate is permitted. The deadline for registering is Monday, May 10 at 5:00 p.m.
Additional Requirements for all Attendees
All 2020 and 2021 graduates and their guests will be required to provide proof of full vaccination completed by May 7, or of having a negative PCR COVID test completed within the prior 72 hours, or an antigen test completed with 6 hours of the event.
Masks and physical distancing will be required for everyone during the entire time they are on campus, including during the ceremonies.
Chairs will be arranged for up to two guests to sit side-by-side, guests of each graduate must sit together.
