Cazenovia College Equestrian Western rider Sara Eveleigh (West Monroe, NY) earned a National Championship in Individual Level II Western Horsemanship at the 2022 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Nationals, held May 5-8 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Competing in a class of 12 riders, Eveleigh “had a beautiful ride on the rail”, as described by Western Head Coach Katie Ragozzino, earning a top score of 78 after drawing sixth to pattern.
Eveleigh, a Junior majoring in Equine Business Management, qualified for IHSA Nationals with a third-place finish in Individual Level II Western Horsemanship at the 2022 Western Semi-Finals hosted by Black Hawk College (Galva, Illinois).
