A pastel painting workshop will be held at Cazenovia College on three upcoming Saturdays, offered by the Center for Adult and Continuing Education at the College, and featuring renowned pastel artist Mary Padgett as instructor.

The painting studio sessions are being conducted on October 30, November 6, and November 13. The all-day workshop sessions take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. They will be held at the College’s studio space in Room 206 of Jephson campus A, on Albany Street in Cazenovia.

The instructor, Mary Padgett, is a well-known artist and member of the Cazenovia Art Trail who is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America. Attendees can choose any subject matter and will be able to explore techniques including mixed media and custom surfaces. Each session ends with a group critique, providing both an assessment of the painting work and the sharing of ideas about concept and craft.
