Cazenovia College celebrated Reunion 2022 June 10 – 12. Alumni from over 10 states spanning Maine to Texas returned to campus for the festivities. It was an exciting weekend back on campus after two years without a reunion due to COVID-19. The alumni group included graduates spanning over 70 years from 1951 to 2022!

Alumni enjoyed activities all over campus including a paint and sip at the Equine Center, music from Big Eyed Phish, a Dave Matthew tribute band, at Catherine Cumming Theatre, a pickleball tournament at the Athletic Center, a tie dye shirt experience at Watts Hall, games on the Quad, and a bonfire at the lake. For many alumni, being back in their dormitory was the highlight of the weekend.

Reunion 2022 gave a special welcome to the classes from 1982 and prior, inviting them to join College President David Bergh and First Lady Nancy Young for a luncheon at the President’s House.

“It was exciting to have so many people come to campus and reconnect with the College,” stated Patrick Camilien, director of Institutional Advancement. “I heard several say that it felt good to be home again!”

“The College is extremely thankful to Dacia Banks ‘94, former trustee and Alumni board president, for volunteering as interim president of the Alumni Association, and Darlene Palkinen ‘75, vice president of the Alumni Association, for all the work that they have done for the College over the past years,” added David Bergh, president of Cazenovia College. “Their contributions and support along with the entire Alumni board have been tremendous.” Banks, Palkinen, Deb Verni ‘98, Crystal Wright Farrell ‘88 and Shelly Bulock ‘85 are finishing up their terms on the Alumni board after a combined total of over 40 years of service.

The Alumni Association is looking ahead to the 20th Annual Golf Open sponsored by Community Bank on Monday, August 8, 2022. For more information on attending or becoming a sponsor go to
