Q. Do I need to renew my membership every year?
A. Yes. Membership is recognized based on your philanthropic giving within one fiscal year (between July 1 and June 30).
Q. Can I make a gift to a specific program or scholarship to qualify for membership?
A. Yes. A gift of $1,000 or more in a fiscal year will count toward your annual membership. We encourage you to designate your support to the Cazenovia Fund or the Cazenovia Scholarship Fund, where gifts will have the most direct impact to assist and fulfill the current needs of our students.
Q. What is the Cazenovia Fund and why is it so important?
A. The Cazenovia Fund is our pool of unrestricted spendable dollars that allow our leaders to respond to our greatest needs each year. These dollars support our students and our college by being the flexible, spendable funds we need to strengthen scholarship packages, sustain critical operational needs, and advance programmatic and academic initiatives. Your gift to the Cazenovia Fund is the ultimate vote of confidence in our College and in our students.
Q. Why the change from the 1824 Society to the Pillar Society?
A. The Pillar Society builds on the legacy of the 1824 Society, our leadership annual giving society through 2020. We are expanding the parameters of this membership circle in order to usher in a new generation of alumni, parents, and donors whose philanthropic investment in Cazenovia today will assure the College's sustainability, success, and growth for tomorrow.
